Looking after Relatives
Living far away from elderly or infirm relatives can be a worry especially – if they find help hard to accept . Poppies aim to provide only the help that’s needed, when it’s needed.
People want to stay independent in their own home for as long as possible. We work with families so that, by agreement, Poppies can both provide help and keep relatives up to date.
Poppies can:
- Ensure kitchen and bathroom(s) are clean and hygienic
- Move and clean behind heavier furniture and beds
- Defrost / clean fridges and freezers (and check sell-by dates)
- Help with laundry, make beds and turn mattresses
Because individual priorities do change we take particular care with our selection of staff and frequency of supervision.
Please note. Poppies are not able to provide personal care.
