We offer adults of all ages the assistance they need to live independently at home. Through illness, accident or disability, help at home can become a necessity – if only for a short time.

Our visiting care packages are ideal for elderly family members living independently who would benefit from additional support managing every day tasks such as going shopping, making appointments, laundry, changing beds or cleaning.

Looking after Relatives

Living far away from elderly or infirm relatives can be a worry especially – if they find help hard to accept . Poppies aim to provide only the help that’s needed, when it’s needed.

People want to stay independent in their own home for as long as possible. We work with families so that, by agreement, Poppies can both provide help and keep relatives up to date.

Poppies can help by:

  • Making appointments
  • Help with laundry, make beds and turn mattresses
  • Run errands such as collect prescriptions and shopping
  • Defrost / clean fridges and freezers (and check sell-by dates)
  • Hoover, mop, dust and clean kitchens and bathrooms

Because individual priorities do change we take particular care with our selection of staff and frequency of supervision.

Please note. Poppies are not able to provide domiciliary care.
